Lean Kaikaku

We can reveal the potentials, design the ideal situation and start the ideas prioritized with the Kaikaku approach. The application, which takes 9 weeks, has 4 basic concentrations;

 

  • Resource Planning: Comparing the resources with the business volume,
  • Process Design: The process design which enables the minimum wasting of the resources,
  • Organizational Structure: Optimal organization and the numbers of the employees under the management,
  • Performance Management: Determining the KPIs for improving and managing the performance and putting the rewards, meetings, into action.

 

It has 3 phases consisting of the evaluation of the existing conditions of the facility, establishing the application plans for the necessary improvements, and realizing these ideas;

 

  1. Diagnostic: The existing conditions of the operation system are evaluated; the cycle time measurements are completed; value flow map is formed (MIFA), the mathematical definition of the wastes is made (OPE).
  2. Design: It is the stage of designing the future condition operation system elements. It consists of the stages of establishing the ideal process map according to the lean principles over MIFA, developing improvement ideas, defining the potential, implementation of the performance management, and defining the new resource tabulation process. Again, the design of the monitoring tools, 5S implementation, lean game, and planning tools are realized in this stage.

  3. Implementation: Detailing and testing the prioritized ideas, application of the ideas with high priority, preparation of the application plans, and preparation of the monitoring tool are realized in this phase. In addition to the application of the prioritized ideas, quick-win and Poka Yokes will also be implemented in parallel during the application.

 

The preliminary visit is made 2 weeks before starting the application; the meeting where mutual expectations are told. It is required that project plan for 12 months is established and the visits are realized in determined frequencies in order to provide the sustainability after the implementation. It is required that each facility determines the change agent in its operational excellence journey and the authority and responsibility limits are clearly defined for all implementations.
